I’ve spent the last few days hunting online for a birthday gift for my friend when I came across the fabulous Dottie rocks prints. I was looking for a gift that would cheer my friend up, inspire her and help her to relax too. I was browsing through various online shops until I spotted this fantastic Coco Chanel quote in gold typography by Dottie Rocks prints. It was the ideal gift and when it arrived, I almost kept it for myself! All Dottie Rocks prints are designed and printed by hand using thick white card stock and gold foil and would add such a glamorous touch to any wall space!
I picked up a cute grey A4 frame from Cargo Home, but the paper bag split on my way home and the frame fell cracking the glass! I didn’t have a chance to go back and change it so I just took the glass out and the print looked great anyway. I even feel that Dottie Rocks prints look better without the glass as the light catches the gold foil directly and makes it shimmer!
Top tip: use a bit of tape to keep prints in place and stop them from slipping in the frame.
So what do you think of the final gift? It was so easy to just select what I wanted and order online, the print arrived in the post the following day and was carefully packaged so there was no damage whatsoever. I can’t wait to see it up in my friend’s home (oh and she loved it by the way!).
I still wanted to give her a pamper gift to help her relax and chose a lavender candle by Yankee Candle which I’ve used and reviewed before and it really helped me sleep. Not only does it suit her living room decor of greys, purples and pinks but it’s also a very soothing scent too.
