I’ve been researching some fab garden shelter ideas as I sit at my kitchen table with a cup of tea, looking out onto the garden. It’s bright, sunny and drizzling with rain – in other words, typical British weather. I’m thinking about how lovely it would be to have a sheltered spot in the garden to sit under. To not have to run indoors every time the heavens opened up to drench us all. To be able to throw a BBQ for friends and family without checking the weather forecast up until the doorbell rings!
I’ve had a look at what pods, gazebos, arbours and garden shelter ideas are out there and found some beautiful traditional ones as well as some more modern and quirky ones. Whether you’re BBQing, dining outdoors or simply want a spot to curl up in, hopefully there will be something for you below. Just click on each image for more info : )
Garden shelter ideas – arbours and summerhouses
Summerhouses and arbours are a more permanent garden shelter option. An ideal investment if you have a larger garden and want to spend more time outside. Outdoor studios are also a great option if you work from home or run your own business and need some more space!
Garden shelter ideas – parasols and canopies
Parasols and canopies are a cheaper and more flexible solution to your Garden shelter needs. They can be folded away to store over winter and brought out in Spring. Although this option will only work out more cost-effective if you’re looking for a temporary solution as these alternatives won’t last as long as a more permanent structure. Ideal for smaller spaces and patios though!
Garden shelter ideas – seating
Covered seating options can create the perfect spot for chilling outside with a book! These Cacoons are fantastic as they’re waterproof and can be stored away for winter. Again, what you choose really depends on what size your outdoor space is and how you’d like to use it : )
