Huge congratulations to all the award winners of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show! I’ve picked out some of my favourite gardens from the past few years to show you. But first, here’s some info on how you can get a touch of Chelsea in your own home…
The show is always a great place to get some inspiration for your own garden and many ideas are reflected in upcoming interior, fashion and product design too! Homebase, in association with Alzheimer’s society won a gold medal on their garden ‘time to reflect’. The designer Adam Frost was inspired by childhood memories with his father, camping in the countryside. The garden was designed with families in mind, a sense of adventure, fun as well as a place to cook and relax.
Adam Frost has created an exclusive Chelsea range especially for Homebase which includes a variety of beautiful plants and flowers. I’ve highlighted some of my favourite below – but take a look here for the full Chelsea plant range here.
Bronze, brass and copper is so on trend in the interior design world. And there’s no reason why it can’t extend into your garden also. Contrasting bronze and concrete to create a strong featured boundary is a fantastic idea. Softening the hard surfaces with soft bamboo and florals adds yet more contrast and interest. Water should play a large part in the garden too – offering plenty of atmosphere and synergy. Cactuses, pineapples and terrainiums are also a key interior trend. I love this pineapple inspired copper water feature shown at the RHS Chelsea flower show below!
Take a look at the Royal Horticultural Society website for details on the next RHS Chelsea flower show and inspirations from previous shows.
