Molton Brown pink pepperpod

Molton Brown is a staple favourite in our household and so I was thrilled to be sent some of the Molton Brown pink pepperpod range to review. With promises of ‘a humid dusk. Sweet aromas in the air. Spices ground between pestle and mortar. Enliven your home and linen with piquant holiday heat; enrich your senses with smouldering aromas.’ The Molton Brown pink pepperpod range certainly lives up to bringing the smells you experience when on holiday with the scent of tangerine, nutmeg, patchouli and ginger in the air. In Cyprus (where I grew up), the smell of the gardens only come alive after dusk and the Molton Brown pink pepperpod scent really brought this into my home.

The Molton Brown pink pepperpod range is perfect for the bedroom – the reed diffuser looks fab with its branded glass bottle and black reeds. Within 10 minutes of placing the reeds inside the bottle, my bedroom is filled with the spicy scent of pink pepperpods, ginger and rich patchouli. The scent lingers in the background and I get a fresh waft of it when I walk past which makes me smile every time! Reversing the reeds every so often will strengthen the scent even more. I prefer to do it weekly, but if you prefer a stronger scent then you can do it more often.

The new Molton Brown pink pepperpod linen mist is perfect for either spritzing in the air or over washable linen such as bedsheets. I did a couple of sprays of the linen mist over our bed and could still smell the lovely pink pepperpod scent two nights later. I have a habit of opening the window when I wake up in the morning – even just for 5 minutes while I’m in the shower. The breeze from the window made the scent waft into our hallway and it’s such a warm and happy scent that creates a lovely atmosphere in our home. For such a recognisable and spicy scent, it’s also very delicate and not at all sickly or overwhelming.

Enliven your home with holiday heat with this sultry and spicy scent. ‘ I love the pop of pink colour against the Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue of my walls. Although in all honesty, I never end up lighting candles in my bedroom as I’m never in there long enough! I don’t have a TV in my bedroom and tend to get ready in the bathroom whilst making sure the little one brushes his teeth properly! So I’ll probably end up putting this in my living room as I do like lighting a candle in the evenings.
