Mother’s Day is the one day of the year that Mothers have an excuse to kick back, relax and be spoilt by their children. It’s a wonderful excuse (not that you should have one) to pamper your Mum and show her how much you appreciate her.
My son Little K’s birthday falls on the same day as Mother’s Day this year. He’s going to be three and although I can’t expect breakfast in bed or a ‘day off’ as such, they always make fantastic cards and little gifts at his nursery. These home-made gifts made with love are always the best gifts to get for your mother. But if you’re reading this then you’re probably not a toddler and making a hand-printed gift for your Mum may be a little odd…

This lavender Yankee Candle would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. Lavender has a wonderful calming effect and is the perfect soothing scent for your Mother’s bedroom. Yankee Candle kindly sent me a sample to try out and as I suffer with insomnia on occasion, I was eager to see if burning this candle before bed time would help improve sleep quality.
I placed the candle on the chest of drawers in my bedroom and not only does it look great, but the lavender fragrance is divine!
