A friend an ex-colleague of mine is making the big move from the city to the countryside and asked me to put together a mood board for a nature-inspired country bedroom. I wanted to move away from traditional floral curtains and heavy furniture and offer a fresh take on this nature theme. The teal vintage inspired chest of drawers was the base of my room – I love the scalloped front and the distressed finish would suit a country cottage bedroom beautifully. I’ve highlighted the touches of pink in the bedding by adding a pink photo frame and blanket.
Adding a bedside table in another colour and style adds to the natural feel of the room. In a country meadow there’s no uniformity and I wanted to bring an element of that to this space. I’d love to know what you think of this nature-inspired bedroom – leave a comment and let me know!
