I’ve seen so many festively fabulous stylish Christmas baubles in the shops over the past few weeks – I just had to share some of them with you! If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know that I’m no decor snob. My blog isn’t about telling you how you should or shouldn’t decorate your home. My aim is to simply inspire you and give you some ideas and tips. It really irritates me when people criticise others’ Christmas decorations in particular. I’ve read quite a few comments recently about how tasteless most people are when decorating their homes. How awful all the Christmas chintz is and the houses that are lit up like a merry go round on steroids. NO-ONE puts up Christmas decorations without wanting to make someone happy – and one thing we all need more of is happiness! So next time you see someone pooping on others’ parade – just give them a great big hug and a mince pie.
When it comes to Christmas decorating go for it! ‘Tis the season to be gaudy after all… and I love my mirror-ball baubles! We all have our own individual tastes and I won’t cramp your festive style… if you don’t cramp mine ; ) I’ve handpicked some original and stylish Christmas baubles which I love – just click on the image to be taken to the site for more info.
These monochrome and gold paper baubles will bring some Nordic charm to your Christmas tree. They’d also look fab in a dish or a bowl – try styling them with some soft white feathers for some minimalist glam!
I instagrammed these Geometric concrete baubles from PASiNGA a couple of weeks ago and they were so popular I couldn’t not include them on my stylish Christmas baubles guide! If you’re not already following me on Instagram – please do! These concrete baubles are perfect for bringing an industrial edge to your home this Christmas. But because they’re not your traditional baubles – they can be used all year round (just not on a Christmas tree – that would be weird…)
Not quite stylish Christmas baubles, butI love the understated festive glamour of these wooden snowflakes from Paperchase. I’d use transparent thread or fishing wire to hang them at different levels from a window. If you have a little one, they’d look magical hanging from the ceiling too! I know my little boy would love seeing these twinkling snowflakes suspended form the ceiling.
The copper trend is still going strong and I love these beech wood baubles painted white and copper. The contrast between the natural wood grain, the metallic copper and matt white is really striking.
These stylish Christmas baubles are from the boutique range at John Lewis. These would be ideal for a more traditional taste and they just ooze art-deco glamour. Don’t be afraid to use black in your Christmas decorating – it can look quite magical!
As well as having disco mirror-ball baubles, I also have a load of Disney baubles that my son bought last year – he loves them and so I love them! What’s going on your Christmas tree this year? Let me know in the comments box below or tweet me @BritishStyleUK : )
