Last week a group of girlfriends and I met up at the L’Italiano Park Plaza London which is just down the road from Waterloo station. The hotel’s restaurant L’Italiano was running a special set menu offer for January and as it was easy for us all to meet at Waterloo station – we thought we’d give it a go!
The hotel has a very modern setting with a two-storey glass frontage and an atrium where the restaurant and bar are located. This gives the hotel an airy and bright feel to it and really shows off the fabulous lighting.
Flickering candles and cosy seating areas gives this large hotel some atmosphere which is difficult to achieve in such a large space. Although having an atrium does mean that sound carries and although the restaurant wasn’t busy when we visited, is was very noisy. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend L’Italiano Park Plaza London for a romantic evening, but it’s perfect for a group of friends or colleagues!
As you may have guessed from the name, L’Italiano Park Plaza London serves good value classic Italian dishes including pizzas, pastas, risottos, salads, meat and fish dishes. I had pizza from the clay oven and it was delicious and great value. You can take a look at the full menu here.
The L’Italiano Park Plaza London washroom facilities are excellent and I loved the sink design where the tap water just flows into the hidden drainage at the back of the sloping marble.
Have you been to L’Italiano at Park Plaza London? What was your experience like?
