A colleague of mine is redesigning her daughter’s bedroom and asked me to help with some tween bedroom ideas. It needs to be fun and stylish – somewhere you’d love to welcome friends over for a sleepover. A place to read and do homework was a must-have as well as plenty of storage options.
If you’re wondering… a tween is between 10-12 (too old for toys but too young for boys…). When looking for tween bedroom ideas for this age range, you should consider less toy storage and more storage for school books as well as a dedicated study area. But you can still keep this room fun by having an area for friends to come over and chill out.
Her favourite colours are grey, purple and silver and I went for a chic pastel scheme fit for any stylish girl! Don’t be afraid to mix up different shades of purple – this deep purple velvet tub chair provides a great contrast and more depth to this colour scheme. It’s so grown up too and I really want one for my own bedroom!
