Spring is a great time to have a kitchen overhaul, de-clutter and generally an excuse to stock up on some stylish bits from Joseph Joseph at Debenhams! Recently, I reviewed the Joseph Joseph stack system recycling bins and I was so impressed by the brand’s design-led innovative household products that I got a few more pieces from their range at Debenhams. My kitchen has been long overdue a face-lift. Over the past year, we’ve transformed our kitchen cupboards on a budget of £50 and we’re planning on replacing the worktops, sink and tap in the summer.
Having a small (and quite tired) kitchen makes it even more important to keep the surfaces organised and clutter-free. Choosing a simple colour scheme with your kitchen accessories really helps to make a kitchen look tidier. All of my kitchen electricals are white which makes them blend into the background against the white tiles. Using grey as an accent colour blends some of the accessories with the painted cupboards and helps it all look less clinical.
Featured products from Joseph Joseph at Debenhams:
1. Joseph Joseph Milly salt and pepper mills
2. Joseph Joseph Index chopping boards
3. Joseph Joseph grey sink caddy
4. Joseph Joseph grey ‘BladeBrush’
I’ve had my eye on the Milly salt and pepper mills for a while – I love the modern take on a traditional design. Just turn them upside-down and twist to dispense and change the setting from fine to course depending on how you like your salt and pepper. They have such a lovely, clean design that I’d happily have them by the cooker or on the dining table!
My previous chopping board was also from Joseph Joseph at Debenhams bought about 7 years ago. As I cook fresh meals every day, they were starting to wear (plus the husband left one of them too close to the hob and melted it!). It was a very similar design, but in a chrome and black container. The opal colour of my new Joseph Joseph chopping board set blends in with the kitchen far better. The colour-coordinated boards are great to keep your kitchen looking good but hygienic too. They also have chopping boards using the traditional colours of a professional kitchen, but I do prefer these muted colour tones.
The Jospeh Joseph sink caddy is super useful for helping to keep the draining board clear. There’s even a space to clip the blade brush onto – a great gadget to clean kitchen knives without them cutting into your sponge or hand! It has a removal drainer too for easy cleaning and space to hang dish cloths to allow them to dry. Much tidier than over the kitchen tap!
These small changes to your kitchen can make such a big difference to the look and feel of the space. Jospeh Joseph are particularly known for their focus on space saving which makes them so popular. Their use of clean, simple lines yet functional design is why I love having their products in my kitchen : )

Many thanks to Debenhams for sending me these featured products for review.
You’re right, small changes can completely rejuvenate your kitchen space! Another idea would be to install upgraded taps or get down into the nitty gritty of your drainage system to keep everything running smoothly while the weather becomes warmer.
