Faux flowers are a great way to add low-maintenance style to your home. Faux blooms have come a long way in recent years so no wonder they’re becoming a popular alternative to fresh bouquets. One of my favourite shops for affordable autumnal faux flowers is TK Maxx (even better if you can get to one of their Homesense stores). I picked up a couple of faux eucalyptus sprays for £3.99 each and I’m really impressed with the quality! With styling your autumnal faux flowers – my top tip is to use a non-translucent vase or jug. It can make your display look more authentic as often the stems are the most fake-looking. Also it means you can’t spot that there’s no water in there ; )
OKA have a huge range of gorgeous artificial blooms. They’ve got their autumnal faux flower styling just right by just using one type of flower or colour. Keeping it simple and unfussy will make it look instagram-worthy! Especially if you’re not at all green-fingered and just looking for a quick win. I particularly love these wild berries, they’re beautifully rustic and can be mixed with some fresh foliage from your garden for a really authentic look.
Don’t be afraid to trim the ends of your faux blooms with wire cutters. Or if you can’t see the stems in your vase, simply bend them to achieve varying height levels. This will make your display look more natural and authentic. To help you decide which faux foliage to go for – consider where they’re going to go. Do you want to add height, structure or just a splash of colour? The vase you put them in is just as important. You don’t want the final look to be balanced and suit the décor and accessories around it.
If you’re quick, you can snap up one of Abigail Ahern’s faux succulents at Debenhams. Just launched a couple of months ago, this range has almost sold out already. I like the idea of faux cacti… much more child-friendly!

And of course, there’s always Notonthehighstreet.com which is brimming with autumnal faux flowers that you won’t find elsewhere. Just check these out for some ideas… I really love the faux cabbages!
