I received a beautifully packaged gift from Santoro London to review, it re-inspired me to blog! I love great design, colour and originality – and Santoro London have all of this in abundance. For regular readers of BritishStyleUK, you’ll have noticed that I’ve somewhat fallen behind on my blogging since I was involved in a car accident. My priorities have focused on caring for my little two-year-old, my part-time job and slowly recovering thanks to regular physio sessions. I’m slowly on the mend now, but had to cancel my birthday party plans at the beginning of July because I wasn’t up to it.
The Santoro London Idenity Parade gift paper is so eclectic and chaming and I love the London – Popnrock™ card. It has all the famous London landmarks popping out of this 3D card and the individual elements either swing or turn reflecting the never-sleeping city that is our capital. All of my birthday cards have now come down and have been put into my keep-sake box, apart from this one! It’s one that you’d want to keep displayed for much longer, and at £5.49 it’s a really affordable card that will really make someone smile!
Out of Santoro London’s many ranges of Kooky gifts, the Scottie Dogs and Cats in Bowties collections were ones that caught my eye in particular. They were designed in house by Santoro London’s design team who wanted to create an iconic print that was instantly recognisable, bright and quirky. The Scottie Dog products are award winning, receiving the 2013 Fashion Accessory of the Year award for their long wallets. Both ranges make me think of a cosy evening sitting by the fire with a patchwork quilt and a nice cuppa, penning notes, writing lists or simply leafing through photographs of good times.
Santoro London kindly sent me the Scottie Dogs photo album (£15.99), and as you can see from the pictures, the design is fabulously eclectic. From the patchwork-effect scottie dogs on the front cover, to the Pringle-esque diamond print on the inside, the photo album is cool and quirky. It also feels of good quality – it won’t fall apart after a few years of browsing photographs.
The other item that Santoro London kindly sent me, was this charming Cats in Bowties notebook (£9.99). As with their other products, every part of this notebook is beautifully designed and you can tell that a lot of love has gone into crafting these wonderful patchwork kitties. The notebook’s hardcover is really useful for taking notes away from a desk, and the elastic strap keeps it all together so you won’t get crumpled pages while the notebook is in your bag. The secret pocket at the back is also really handy for tucking away those stray keepsakes!
All in all, Santoro London is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for cards and gifts with a difference – something quirky yet stylish!
