That milestone moment when your little one moves into a full-sized bed is so emotional and it feels like a double whammy this time around. My youngest girl has moved out of her moses basket and into her cot to share a room with her big sister. She really is a little big girl as she’s only 2 1/2, but it was the right time to upgrade her and the Noa and Nani Jansen bed really made her feel special. My son upgraded from his cot bed when he was four, but a house move and a new baby sister is a lot for any little big girl to take in. So when Noa and Nani got in touch asking if I’d review one of their beautiful children’s beds, I thought it would be the perfect time to help make my little girl feel big. I picked out the Jansen Scandinavian Single Bed Frame in Silk Grey as I love the style. Having an architect for a Dad, this little girl gets drawn a lot of houses and it’s a shape she’s familiar with. How cute does it look in her room?
The Noa and Nani Jansen bed is a full sized single bed, but being so low to the ground means that it’s a great option for a toddler. She can get in and out easily and the occasional mid-sleep roll out won’t hurt her. It was really easy to put together too, I managed to do it on my own in a couple of hours. The bed frame pieces are really solid and the simple design means no fiddly or heavy bits to contend with. The only thing I was a little unsure of, was whether having a four-poster children’s bed would dominate the room and block out the light from the window. But this isn’t the case at all and in fact the low bed frame makes the room feel larger.
I styled the bed really simply with some white linen fabric looped around the top so that it won’t get tugged off. Adding some cotton ball fairy lights gives a little magical element at night. We had some vouchers from The White Company as a house warming gift and so this lucky little lady also got a gorgeous new goose down duvet and bedding set.
Making over the childrens’ bedrooms has always been my favourite – I love being able to be playful in my design as well as thinking about practicality. There’s a Scandi meets Victorian style that is developing in this room and it’s working really well. We only moved in six months ago and still renovating (check out my house reno diaries) and so this room is still in progress.
When introducing anything like this to a little one, the proof is always in their pudding… and she LOVES her little big girl bed! And surprisingly for me, she really loves having her baby sister sharing a room with her too. Now just to get them both to sleep through the night…

That is a lovely bed! Very cute and stylish and perfect timing with the house move too! Hope they both start sleeping through the night soon, hopefully they will keep each other company :)
That’s a really beautiful bed. My girl would love it.
Thanks for sharing Natalia!

That is the most adorable bed! I am sure she will be jumping into bed every night with no battles with such a gorgeous bed to get into :)
This is a lovely style of bed. If I had a little girl this is the sort of bed I would go for!
I have never seen a bed like this before. If I had a little girl this is the sort of bed I would go for!
Ah I love it!! I like the way you can drape sheets over it and make it even cosier. I bet my eldest would love something like this :-)
What a gorgeous bed! I love the styling of it too.
Ah what a lovely bed! Perfect for a little princess ay! :)
It’s like a Wendy-house bed – such a lovely idea!
