I’m trying to get better at thinking ahead, something that I’m not always great at but The White Company sale haul was just what I needed! My youngest is turning one soon (seriously, where has the time gone!?) and it’s been a year of constant wardrobe changes and going through nappy sizes. Since we did the loft conversion, storage is a big issue in our home. We swapped the kids bedrooms around so we’ve had to make the most of a small kid’s bedroom and reconfigure the space once again. I’m always on the hunt for good nursery storage ideas, but I like to invest in pieces that have longevity and will grow with them as their needs adapt.
This Indonesian lidded Kubu box is the first from my The White Company sale haul. I just love the washed grey tone of the rattan which makes it a really neutral piece which would fit into most interior styles. It ticked all the boxes (no pun intended here). Large enough to store loads of stuff, a lid to hide it all away, robust enough to take what life/baby throws at it but lightweight enough for me to be able to move it if I need to. This Kubu box is also hand-made to a really high standard and so there are no loose or sharp pieces of rattan which was the first thing I checked for!

If any of my friends are pregnant, I always pick up little gifts. The White Company have such lovely gender-neutral toys and nursery accessories and I love the Jellycat range. My little lady loves the animal skittles in particular as they make a soft tinkling sound when you rattle them.

It makes it extra special too that my daughter’s first birthday gift is from the country where her grandmother is from : )

I can’t believe that my youngest last featured on the blog almost 6 months ago and soon she’ll be one. It makes you realise that time just goes so fast and you need to cherish each day as well as think ahead to the future. One day I hope I’ll feel on top of everything, but for now I’m just about keeping up! The White Company mid-season sale has just begun, so get your haul in before it ends!

oh your daughter’s clothes and the room decor are soooooo cute! I love that you went for storage, you can never have enough of that and now you can hide away all the offending objects in a stylish box. So cute! I love the little animals. I was laughing a little to myself, time does fly and I can’t believe my youngest of 3 babies is almost 17! It was only like one day ago she was as small as your little one, I think. Sigh.
